Our Case Studies
A selection of projects showcasing our 3D laser scanning, measured building surveys and reality capture services, from historic landmarks and unique buildings to large-scale commercial and industrial properties.
Every project presents its own challenges, and we use the latest surveying technology to capture existing buildings and environments with exceptional levels of accuracy and detail.
Our case studies provide an insight into the work we undertake, the methods and technology used, and the final deliverables we produce, including detailed 3D point clouds, measured floor plans, elevations, sections and 3D models.
From initial site capture through to the finished survey information, our aim is to provide clients with reliable, high-quality digital data tailored to their project requirements.
Hull Minster
3D Laser Scanning & Measured Building Survey
The Project
Survey City was commissioned to undertake a comprehensive measured building survey of Hull Minster, capturing the existing internal and external building geometry using terrestrial 3D laser scanning.
The Output
Detailed 3D point cloud data providing an accurate digital record of the building, with survey information to support architectural drawings, future planning, conservation and maintenance works.
Future Shmuseum
3D Laser Scanning & Reality Capture
The Project
Survey City undertook a detailed 3D laser scanning survey of the existing grain store in Pirton, Hertfordshire, which is set to become the future Shmuseum.
The Output
Registered 3D point cloud data, measured floor plans, external elevations and a 3D building model, providing a detailed digital record of the existing structure to support its future transformation.
Major City Centre Project
3D Laser Scanning & Measured Building Survey
The Project
A large-scale measured building survey involving the capture of an existing city-centre property using terrestrial 3D laser scanning technology.
The Output
Detailed 3D point cloud data documenting the building's existing geometry, providing a reliable digital reference for architectural design, planning and future development.
